Today there was an incredibly hard and sharp shower in the afternoon in London, and it also started raining as I cycled up the hill on the way home.
Today’s picture, taken in the final push of the run, makes the clouds look far more dramatic than they really were.
Tonight’s run saw the start of the more serious running. It was my first 25 minute run. The first and last couple of minutes were painful, and the middle bit not exactly easy, but I got round without stopping, and it was uphill for almost all of the first half.
And round is the key word, because in 25 minutes it is actually possible to do a proper circuit, rather than having to turn back and retrace your steps.
Looking ahead to the runs that are to come I see that the easy part has finished, no more short runs with walks in between. Next week is all 25 minutes, then 28 and finally the full half-an-hour. Gulp.
