Slight shock as I started this run only to find that it consisted of two eight minute runs rather than the three and five minutes I’d been expecting. Eight minutes took me nearly to the top of the Chalk Pit, so I will go further than I’d been thinking I would when I’m running the full 30 minutes, I might even make a circuit.

Started late as the sun was setting under glowering grey clouds. Thought I wouldn’t beat either the sun going down, or the rain falling down. But in the end managed to do both. It felt much easier than I had expected, so maybe I should take up the offer to be the runner in the triathlon relay in September.
